Born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Jacqui moved to the U.S. when she was three. She found solace in food at a young age, watching her mother cook and tuning into the Food Network religiously. Since she was a senior in high school, Jacqui has had a hand in various Food Network shows, including Beat Bobby Flay and Chopped.

Jacqui has starred and created recipe content for BuzzFeed’s Tasty and The Spruce Eats. Additionally, she works as a food stylist and has been featured in various cookbooks, from Tasting Table's Cooking with Friends to Grossy Pelosi's Let's Eat. With over ten years of experience, Jacqui works as a recipe developer for major brands including Food Network,  and First We Feast. She has also worked as a Culinary Producer for Netflix and The Kitchen. Jacqui attended Lehman College where she majored in media/communications and television studies and minored in nutrition and dietetics. Jacqui is also a James Beard House Fellow.
